The fine adjustment knob on the base allows for you to precisely dial in your indicator.
Paired with the fine adjustment knob, the indicator arm clamp knob allows for very quick, one-handed use of the indicator stand.
The surface ground feet allow for effortless movement on a surface plate allowing for very accurate measurements of flatness or parallelism.
If the indicator seems to vibrate when using the fine adjustment knob, slightly tighten or loosen the set screw behind the fine adjustment knob until the desired feel is achieved.
The current setup allows for travel of about 17”. Flipping the indicator clamp upside down and some creativity of how the indicator is clamped can allow for additional height measurements.
