The 1/4”-80 fine adjustment knob on the base allows for precise indicator adjustment. Smooth action even on tenth indicators.
Paired with the fine adjustment knob, the indicator arm clamp knob allows for very quick, one-handed use of the indicator stand.
The ground and lapped tool steel feet provide effortless movement and durability for everyday use on a surface plate.
If the adjustment knob or indicator seems to vibrate when adjusting, slightly tighten or loosen the set screw behind the fine adjustment knob until the desired feel is achieved.
The set screw can also be tightened if more resistance or “slower” indicator motion is desired.
The current setup allows for travel of about 17”. With some creativity and a custom indicator clamp, additional height can be achieved.
